The Chicago Cubs and right-handed pitcher Brad Brach have agreed to terms on a 2019 contract with a club/player option for the 2020 campaign. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. (read more at link)

Other than re-signing Hamels, this has been the most solid move thus far.

I'm hoping that he just stays healthy (15 wins or so would be good) ... he will be needed if they reach the postseason. With a Lester, Hamels, and Hendricks trio that can do some damage with their experience.

Just stay healthy is what you want for those veterans. They don't need any long-term DL problems in 2019.

15 wins I would take any day as well as healthy. Don't want 15 wins and injured because of it and such

I think Hamels can get the 15 wins this year, but like you said- if he stays healthy.
