Not yet. But I think the Cubs are missing something. I think they need David Ross on the bench somehow.

I think they need Billy Williams and Fergie Jenkins. Ross can't hit or throw.

I may have something to say on this later today, tomorrow, next week, never, depending on posting circumstances.

Can't help but wonder how much the Cubs' weird scheduling has caused the slump. Having several off days in the first month of the season and then having not many at all since mid-May has been assuredly difficult. The grueling road schedule probably has, too. The Cubs might really benefit from the All-Star break and the handful of off days that they have in July.

Their schedule hasn't been any worse than anyone else. You can read more about it in a story I wrote on this very subject sometime in the next few days.
