Everyone wants to shoot the messenger. Seems strange to me that it's always someone else's fault, all the hitting coach can do is make corrections in what you are doing wrong, he can't hit for you. All power hitters should watch tapes of Ted Williams and read what he says about hitting under the ball and you won't need a hitting coach.

I've been saying that for months. Guys like Hickey and Davis (or Hottovy and Iapoce now) may be able to coach the rookies, but you aren't changing the way Lester and hamels pitch, nor are you changing the way veterans hit a ball.
