A three-batter minimum for pitchers

A universal designated hitter

A single trade deadline before the All-Star break

A 20-second pitch clock

The expansion of rosters to 26 men, with a 12-pitcher maximum

Draft advantages for winning teams and penalties for losing teams

A study to lower the mound

A rule that would allow two-sport amateurs to sign major league contracts

I don't agree with any of them. I would like to see a salary cap and a winter deadline for FA signings and trades though.

It would be interesting with any of those changes. I will still like the game regardless.

We'll probably always eventually adapt to new rules, but they'd better not implement a bunch of them at once. I don't want to see a ballgame in two hours- I want to enjoy the afternoon watching it. If speeding it up is what I desire, I'll DVR it and fast forward as I see fit. LEAVE MY GAME ALONE.

This commissioner is #### bent on getting games to two hours.

It will never happen no matter how many new rules they put in place because starting pitchers don't last 7, 8, or 9 innings like they used to so there are 15 pitcher changes each game.

Another reason is that umpires allow batters to step out after each pitch and adjust everything they own, even when they take a pitch. Stay in the box and be ready to hit. The pitch clock will hurt batters more than pitchers mark my words.

Additionally, having the DH makes games longer because they provide more offense. You cannot have shorter games and make the DH universal at the same time. It is counter effective.

Agreed on most of that. I can't stand the leaving the box after every pitch and adjusting your pants, spitting, looking into the stands, practice swings, long look at signs...it all takes a while for one at-bat.

Not sure the answer but some guys are very deliberate for sure.

Some of the batter's rituals do get a little monotonous. I just think a pitching clock is going to result in more injuries, especially in cold weather, as pitchers are going to find themselves hurrying at times.
