Three Batter Minimum

I know we have had a thread on all the rule changes earlier this week but I felt this one was the most likely one to happen. Do you like the idea of A three-batter minimum for pitchers? To speed up the game and maybe provide more contact hits cause of it. This is probably my favorite proposed rule change. This would prevent so many reliever types of pitchers to just to come in for one inning as a specialist type of play. The only exceptions are at the end of an inning or if a player gets hurt.

It's an interesting idea but I think that is one of the more least likely ones to get passed. It would drastically change the game.

Purists would lose their mind.

I don't see the players Union being in favor of this idea either. I like the idea.. myself for the most part. What do you think of it personally?

I understand what they are doing...losing fans each year because how long the innings are in the final three innings of a game. I know they are worried about young fans being turned off from it.

I'm not sure that min. 3 batters is the answer. Seems drastic and changing baseball too much. Maybe 2 batters min but that is still wild talk.

That minimum is going to do more than speed up the game, it is going to end up causing injuries. If your pen is tired but you need a pitcher, instead of facing one guy, you now have to them face three. This is going to cause problems, especially in the colder months of the season.
