He's one of the top pinch-hitters in the league and very versatile player for the Cubs. You have to have one or two of these type guys if you wanna win on a regular basis. They can't all be sluggers.

You need that guy that is a professional hitter that will make the right play like moving the runner over, etc.

He's also a very likable guy in the clubhouse and that's a good thing as a bench guy. He would start for most major league teams.

Tommy is a great bench player. Just wonder if he will be happy doing that all year. He almost gave up baseball last year.

I think he understands now his role and hopefully, it will be happy being on an elite team. If not, that's sorta selfish.
