I hope they keep Zobrist. He was one of the few who was consistently solid both offensively and defensively last year.

Zo is getting paid a lot of money so he is a trade piece but I have enjoyed watching him play. His quality at-bats are always needed.

I still think you off-load salary with heyward first- if they can find a trade partner. Ben may retire after this season, but if not, deal with him as a free agent in 2020 and see if he stays. Hard to trade away the 3rd best hitter in the league when you are paying J-Hey 26M to bat 260-ish.

Nobody will trade for jhey ever unless cubs pay his entire contract. Nobody wants a light hitting outfielder lol

And herein lies the dilemma the Cubs have. This team is full of talent- 99% of whom had an off year. No trade value whatsoever. It'll be interesting to see what the Cubs do with some of these guys in July if their seasons start of good.

talent is always a good dilemma to have. I think several players will get back on track this season with the new hitting coach.

I think so as well. In a perfect world, Zo plays another few years with Chicago and then retires, but with the money crunch- I doubt it.

I think he will play out this year and then retire or possibly get some more money from another team for a year or two.

He probably has a big-time future in a front office or management route if he chooses so.
