Cubs vs. Royals: Lineup, TV info, Notes, Game Thread

The Chicago Cubs will try to 'Fly the W' against the Royals tonight as they are 7-2 through the first nine games, their best start since the title-winning 2016 season.

When and Where: The Cubs (7-2) will take on the Kansas City Royals (3-7) at Wrigley Field on Monday at 7:30 PM CT.

Television info: The game will be on the Marquee Sports Network and Fox Sports Kansas City (Royals telecast).

TV Announcers: Len Kasper and Jim Deshaies (Cubs)

Radio: 670 The Score, WRTO 1200, and KCSP 610

Lineup notes: Kris Bryant is back in the lineup after missing two games with a stomach bug and self-reporting those symptoms. Albert Almora Jr. is not in the lineup against a lefty as Ian Happ gets the start at center.

Royals lineup:

Pitching matchup: The Cubs will have righty Alec Mills (1-0, 3.00 ERA) on the mound against lefty Danny Duffy (0-1, 5.79 ERA).

Mills has a 2.67 ERA in eight career games on the road.
