Anthony Rizzo has had many awards through his solid major league career as his defense is as solid as his slugging ability.
Rizzo was named a finalist for the Rawlings Gold Glove Award on Thursday alongside Joey Votto and Freddie Freeman. For 2018, Rizzo hit .283 with 25 homers, 101 RBIs, and had a .376 on-base percentage. Defensively, he had 1287 total chances, 1133 putouts, 147 assists, and only seven errors for a fielding percentage of .995. Rizzo won the Gold Glove and Platinum Glove Award back in 2016.
