Cubs News: Contreras jumps Posey for All-Star spot |
On Thursday, MLB released the latest vote tally for the 2018 All-Star game as Cubs catcher
Willson Contreras had jumped veteran catcher Buster Posey by 8,000 votes for the No. 1 spot with less than 24 hours to go (ends 11 p.m. Thursday).
If Contreras were to be voted into the All-Star game, he would be the first Cubs catcher to participate since Geovany Soto in 2008. Javy Baez has also made considerable ground for the second base spot and is only now 300,000 votes behind Braves' Ozzie Albies. The Cubs released the following video to try to get the vote out for Contreras on Thursday. Vote for both Contreras and Baez in the link below: ?? A candidate who truly cares about the game.
