Cubs second-year catcher Willson Contreras has been named National League Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Contreras is batting an impressive .455 with five homers last week. Since the All-Star break, he is batting .346 with 10 homers, 29 RBI, .782 slugging percentage, and 1.196 OPS. For the season, he is batting .281 with 21 homers, 70 RBI, and .349 on-base percentage.
