Cubs-Braves game officially postponed |
Thursday night's game between the Cubs and the Braves has been officially postponed because of inclement weather and will be made up on Aug 30 at 6:35 pm CT.
Braves officials waited until 8:55 pm CT to see if the field was playable after a heavy rain and they decided it was not a smart idea to start the game with more inclement weather ahead. The Cubs head to Cincinnati to start a four-game series with bottom dwellers in the National League Central. Cubs veteran pitcher Jon Lester will more than likely get the start tomorrow.
