CHICAGO – The Chicago Cubs today activated outfielder Jason Heyward off of the 10-day disabled list. Heyward will be available for the Cubs this afternoon when they conclude their three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds at Wrigley Field.

Heyward, 29, was placed on the disabled list on August 31 with right hamstring tightness and did not require a rehab assignment as part of his return. He is batting .275 (111-for-404) with 21 doubles, seven homers and 52 RBI in 114 games with the Cubs this season.

Chicago’s active roster now stands at 35 players.
