He owned a 0.54 ERA (1 ER/16.2 IP) in his first 23 outings through May 27 before allowing 19 earned runs in his next 9.1 innings covering 12 relief outings and being placed on the disabled list. Farrell, 27, is 3-3 with a 3.86 ERA (12 ER/28.0 IP) in 19 appearances (one start) with the Cubs this season. He is 0-2 with a 4.94 ERA (13 ER/23.2 IP) in five starts with Iowa this year.
