Cubs lineup vs. Blue Jays, Arrieta starting

The Chicago Cubs (63-57) will take on the Toronto Blue Jays on 1:20 PM CDT on Friday afternoon televised on CSN Chicago and the MLB Network. The Cubs are in sole possession of first place ahead of the rival St. Louis Cardinals by a single game in the National League Central division.

Veteran righty Jake Arrieta will start for the defending World Champions opposed by lefty J.A. Happ.

In 2017, Arrieta has a 12-8 record with 3.73 ERA and 135 strikeouts.

Willson Contreras will still be out of the lineup for four to six weeks dealing with his hamstring injury.

In other lineup news, Albert Almora Jr. is leading off, and slugger Kyle Schwarber is not in the starting lineup.
