Cubs lineup vs. Blue Jays, Bryant out

The Chicago Cubs (65-57) will take on the Toronto Blue Jays in the home finale at 1:20 PM CDT on Sunday afternoon televised on WGN-TV. The Cubs are in sole possession of first place ahead of the rival St. Louis Cardinals by two games in the National League Central division.

The North Siders are currently 33-28 at the Friendly Confines this season and 6-4 in their last ten games.

Righty starter Kyle Hendricks will start for the defending World Champions opposed by righty Marco Estrada.

In 2017, Hendricks has a 4-4 record with 3.45 ERA and 75 strikeouts.

Willson Contreras will still be out of the lineup for four to six weeks dealing with his hamstring injury.

In other lineup news, Almora Jr. is leading off, and slugger Kris Bryant is out of the starting lineup with a day off. Bryant has started the last 27 games hitting .337 with four homers during that span. Tommy La Stella will take his place at third base.

New catcher Rene Rivera is in the starting lineup batting sixth.

The pitching matchup is set for next week's games against the Reds: Tuesday - Lackey vs. Bailey, Wednesday - Montgomery vs. TBA, and Thursday - Arrieta vs. Romano.
