Cubs lineup vs. Brewers, Rizzo out

by - Senior Editor -

Sunday afternoon's batting lineup for the final game of the series between the Chicago Cubs (4-4) vs. the Milwaukee Brewers (5-4) at 1:10 p.m. CDT at Miller Park will be the following:

1. Albert Almora Jr. CF

2. Kris Bryant 3B

3. Ben Zobrist 2B

4. Willson Contreras C

5. Kyle Schwarber LF

6. Addison Russell SS

7. Victor Caratini 1B

8. Jason Heyward RF

9. Jose Quintana P

Jose Quintana (0-1, 9.00 ERA) will be on the mound today for his second start of the season opposed by righty Chase Anderson (0-0, 3.60 ERA). Quintana has had success at Miller Park as last September he was the only opposing lefty in history to throw a complete game shutout at the ballpark. Hope that previous success bodes well for him during today's contest against the Brew Crew.

Anthony Rizzo will miss his third straight start nursing tightness in his lower back and Javy Baez and Ian Happ are both out of the starting lineup.

Young outfielder Albert Almora Jr. gets a rare leadoff start against a righty pitcher. With Happ's alarming strikeouts piling up in only seven games (MLB-leading 17), it's a solid move to see what Almora Jr. can do today.

The game will be televised on WGN-TV and MLB.TV.

Pitching probables for the Cubs for their upcoming home series at Wrigley Field against the Pittsburgh Pirates: Monday - Tyler Chatwood, Wednesday - Jon Lester, Thursday - Kyle Hendricks.
