Cubs lineup vs. D-backs, Heyward at leadoff |
Sunday's batting lineup for the Cubs vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks at 2:10 p.m. CT will be the following:
1. Jason Heyward RF 2. Javier Baez 2B 3. Willson Contreras C 4. Addison Russell SS 5. Efren Navarro 1B 6. Albert Almora Jr. CF 7. Chris Gimenez DH 8. Jason Vosler 3B 9. Peter Bourjos LF Heyward gets another chance to show off what he can do at the leadoff position this spring. "It could be [an audition] in his mind, but I'm here to play whenever or wherever," Heyward said Saturday to the media. "We're all aware [Maddon] can be different any time. Wherever we're asked to go that day, we have to be ready." Veteran Jon Lester will take the mound for the North Siders and will probably only pitch one or two innings max. Other Cubs pitchers that will be available include Roth, Ryan, Brooks, Baldonado, Camarena, De La Cruz, Grimm, and Simmons.
