Cubs lineup vs. Mets, Bote at SS and Schwarber at leadoff

The Cubs have won seven in a row and try to sweep the Mets this afternoon.

Wednesday's batting lineup for the second game of the day between the Cubs (78-53) and the Mets (58-74) at 1:30 p.m. CDT will be the following:

1. Kyle Schwarber LF

2. Albert Almora Jr. CF

3. Ben Zobrist 2B

4. Anthony Rizzo 1B

5. David Bote SS

6. Willson Contreras C

7. Tommy La Stella 3B

8. Alec Mills P

9. Ian Happ RF

It will be a pitching battle between Mills (0-0, 1.17 ERA) and righty Jason Vargas (4-8, 6.96).

Schwarber is back in the lead-off spot for the first time since June 10 last season.

The Cubs-Reds game will be televised on NBC Sports Chicago and MLB Network (out of market only).
