The Chicago Cubs (68-58) will battle the Philadelphia Phillies at 6:05 PM CDT on Friday night televised on WGN-TV. The Cubs are in sole possession of first place ahead of the Brewers by three games in the National League Central division.
The North Siders are currently 7-3 in their last ten games. Jose Quintana will start for the defending World Champions opposed by righty Sal Romano. In 2017, Quintana has an 8-10 record with a 4.27 ERA and 155 strikeouts. Willson Contreras will still be out of the lineup for at least a few more weeks dealing with his hamstring injury.
