The Chicago Cubs (16-15) will play against the upstart Colorado Rockies (20-12) at 7:40 p.m. CDT on Monday night on CSN Chicago. Righty veteran Jake Arrieta (4-1) will take the mound for the defending World Champions as he tries to help the team rebound after being swept at home by the New York Yankees.

There has been heavy rain and hail in the Denver area so a weather delay could be possible. If the game starts as expected, infielder Tommy La Stella will get his first start of the season for the Cubs. In 2017, he is 1-for-4 with a double, RBI and two walks in six games

The Cubs are currently in third place in the National League Central (1GM back) behind the Reds and Cardinals.
