Wednesday night's batting lineup for the third game of the series between the Cubs (66-46) and the Royals (34-79) at 7:15 p.m. CDT will be the following:

1. Anthony Rizzo 1B
2. Javier Baez 2B
3. Jason Heyward RF
4. David Bote 3B
5. Tommy La Stella DH
6. Willson Contreras C
7. Kyle Schwarber LF
8. Ian Happ CF
9. Addison Russell SS

It will be a pitching battle between 'Q' (10-7, 4.12 ERA) and righty Heath Fillmyer (0-1, 3.86).

Ben Zobrist gets the day off as he left the game on Tuesday with left hip tightness. The injury is currently considered day-to-day.

Yu Darvish threw a simulated game on Wednesday in Kansas City with Joe Maddon, Jim Hickey, Cole Hamels, and the medical staff looking on. Tommy La Stella and Victor Caratini are two of the batters that Darvish faced.


On Friday, Kyle Hendricks will pitch, Lester will get the ball on Saturday, and Cole Hamels will face off against Max Scherzer on Sunday.

The Cubs game will be televised nationally on WGN-TV.
