The Cubs will try to keep the solid play going during interleague play.

Friday's batting lineup for the first game of a three-game set between the Cubs (44-35) and the Twins (35-42) at 4:05 p.m. CDT will be the following:

1. Albert Almora Jr. CF

2. Jason Heyward RF

3. Ben Zobrist 2B

4. Anthony Rizzo 1B

5. Addison Russell SS

6. Kyle Schwarber LF

7. Ian Happ 3B

8. Chris Gimenez C

9. Mike Montgomery P

It will be a pitching battle between Montgomery (2-2, 3.39 ERA) and righty Jose Berrios (8-5, 3.15 ERA).

Willson Contreras is getting the much needed day off while Javy Baez is out because his wife gave birth to their baby boy last night.

The game will be televised on NBC Sports Chicago.
