Cubs players need to catch up in All-Star voting |
The Chicago Cubs have been hot lately as they are only 0.5 games back of the Milwaukee Brewers for the lead in the National League Central.
However, the North Siders are not currently leading at their respective positions to make the 2018 All-Star game. First base: Anthony Rizzo has 248,275 votes and currently 2nd place behind Freddie Freeman who is way ahead at 633,342 votes. Second Base: Javier Baez is currently second place at 360,307 votes behind another Brave player Ozzie Albies with 398,816 votes. Third Base: Kris Bryant is currently second place at 305,062 votes way behind Nolan Arenado at 527,683 votes. Shortstop: Addison Russell has only 210,764 votes which is third place behind Brandon Crawford (466,021) and Dansby Swanson (225,182). Catcher: Willson Contreras is second in the voting at his position with 259,427 votes behind superstar Buster Posey at 281,331 votes. Kyle Schwarber is currently 7th in the outfielder voting at 203,299 votes with Ben Zobrist behind him at 8th place (196,837), and Jason Heyward at 10th place with 175,583.
