Cubs release All-Star video for Contreras "A candidate who truly cares" |
Chicago Cubs catcher
Willson Contreras is one of the top young catchers in the majors. His combination of power, speed, and throwing arm makes him one of the game's best.
On Thursday, MLB released the latest vote tally for the 2018 All-Star game as Contreras had jumped veteran catcher Buster Posey by 8,000 votes for the No. 1 spot with less than 24 hours to go (ends 11 p.m. Thursday). If Contreras were to be voted into the All-Star game, he would be the first Cubs catcher to participate since Geovany Soto in 2008. The Cubs released the following video about Contreras that will hopefully keep fans voting for him. Check out the funny video below: ?? A candidate who truly cares about the game.
