The Chicago Cubs have locked up several young players (0-3 years of MLB experience) to pre-arbitration salaries for the 2018 season on Sunday.

Here is the full rundown of the seven players and their new finalized contracts for 2018:

Javier Baez $657,000
Mike Montgomery $611,250
Kyle Schwarber $604,500
Willson Contreras $604,500
Carl Edwards Jr. $594,000
Albert Almora Jr. $584,500
Ian Happ $570,000 (renewal over $540K minimum)

This is great that their deals are done for the season, and hopefully, the players are satisfied with their contracts and ready to produce in 2018. This list of players shows the fabulous future that the Cubs hopefully have in store for several more seasons.

It's always smart to get the financial details out of the way so players can just focus on playing baseball.
