Cubs ticket price changes in 2018

The Chicago Cubs are one of the most popular teams in sports as ticket prices have skyrocketed in the last decade at Wrigley Field. However, it appears that ticket prices are not jumping astronomically for the 2018 season even after 3.199 million fans were in attendance on the North Side this past season.

"We're really excited to be talking about 2018 season tickets off the back of our third straight NLCS appearance," said Cale Vennum, the Cubs VP of ticketing. "There continues to be incredible demand for Cubs tickets at Wrigley Field. For the 2018 season, we are largely maintaining our pricing levels from 2017."

The average season ticket prices are only going up one percent overall while the season-ticket bleacher seats and some outfield boxes are going down as much as 5.6 percent.

"There is still tremendous demand," Vennum said. "We drew just under 3.2 million last year, seventh highest in history. There are over 118,000 people on the waiting list. People are really excited about Cubs baseball, they're excited about the young core we have that is getting ready for the 2018 season."

Cubs single-game tickets will go on sale Feb. 23 and the 2018 regular season will be here before you know it.
