Cubs vs Rockies game delayed after heavy rain

Wednesday's Cubs-Rockies game will be delayed because of bad weather in the area as the tarp is currently on the field.

The Colorado Rockies official Twitter account posted the following message.

"We are officially in a weather delay. Stay tuned, we will pass along further information as it becomes available."

The game was originally going to start at 2:10 p.m. CDT on CSN Chicago.

Righty Kyle Hendricks will take the mound for the defending World Champions whenever the rain leaves the area.

The Cubs are currently in third place in the National League Central behind the Cardinals and Reds.
