Diamondbacks hire away Cubs assistant

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Cubs have had a busy offseason replacing all the vacancies from teams poaching away several assistant coaches.

However, the personnel overhaul hasn't ended as Cubs special assistant to the President and General Manager Jason Parks has been hired away by the Arizona Diamonds to be their new director of pro scouting.

Parks posted a message about his new job on Twitter on Wednesday.

"From the fans to the front office, the @Cubs are my family, and it hurts to say goodbye," Parks posted. "But I’m thrilled to be a part of the @Dbacks, and I can’t wait to get started on a new journey. I look like a boss in teal."

He was formerly a writer for Baseball Prospectus.
