ESPN adds Cubs-Cards game to Sunday Night Baseball |
ESPN today announced its exclusive Sunday Night Baseball presented by Taco Bell game selection for June 17. The St. Louis Cardinals and
Dexter Fowler will host their rival Chicago Cubs and
Anthony Rizzo at Busch Stadium. The Sunday Night Baseball commentator team of play-by-play voice Matt Vasgersian, analysts Alex Rodriguez and Jessica Mendoza along with on-field reporter Buster Olney will have the call at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
On June 3, Sunday Night Baseball starts off the month with the defending World Series Champion and current American League West-leading Houston Astros hosting the Boston Red Sox, who are currently a half game out of first in the American League East. The telecast will begin at a special 7:30 p.m. start time on ESPN. The following weekend, the American League East-leading New York Yankees and Aaron Judge will take on the New York Mets and Amed Rosario as they play the final game of the 2018 regular season’s first iconic subway series on Sunday Night Baseball at 8 p.m. on ESPN. Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown presented by Chevrolet will generally precede the Sunday Night Baseball telecast at 7 p.m. with a one-hour long pre-game show featuring insight from ESPN’s expert hosts and analysts, interviews with players and managers, the top highlights and what to watch for in the night’s marquee game. On deck: This weekend’s edition of Sunday Night Baseball features two American League divisional leaders going head to head. The AL West-leading Astros and José Altuve will host the AL Central-leading Cleveland Indians and Francisco Lindor at 8 p.m. on ESPN. Sunday Night Baseball telecasts on ESPN will also be available on ESPN Radio, ESPN Deportes and ESPN Deportes Radio. All ESPN MLB games and studio content are also available streaming on the ESPN App. Additional telecast will be selected up to two weeks prior to the dates.
