Cubs News: Edwards Jr: "This series is going to be tied"

by - Senior Editor -

Carl Edwards Jr. pitched 1.1 innings of no hit ball in relief during the Cubs playoff loss to the Dodgers on Sunday night.

During the playoffs, he has had a rough time with pitching 3.2 innings, giving up six runs, four walks, and seven strikeouts.

However, that didn't stop him from telling reporters that the team was headed to LA before the NLDS was over and now he has made another bold prognostication.

"Before you know it, this series is going to be tied," Edwards told reporters on Sunday night.

In 2017 appearing in 73 games, Edwards had 2.98 ERA with 94 strikeouts and 1.01 WHIP.
