Kris Bryant's rehab sounds like it is on track now.

Cubs President of Operations Theo Epstein spoke with reporters on Tuesday and said that Bryant "is in a good place in his rehab."

Epstein went on to say that Bryant should get back this season to contribute to the team.

"We have the rest of his rehab more or less mapped out," he said via Cubs.com's Carrie Muskat. "We're optimistic he'll return and play a really significant role."

This sounds like good news that Bryant will be back to help the ballclub and not be out for the season like his teammate Yu Darvish which was announced today.

For the season, Bryant is batting .276 with 11 homers and 44 RBIs.
