Former Cubs prospect becomes youngest Yankees player with walk-off homer |
The Gleyber Torres era has started for the New York Yankees.
The former Chicago Cubs No. 1 prospect became the youngest Yankee in history to hit a walk-off homer with this three-run homer against the Indians on Sunday. It was the team's six straight victory and the team is currently an impressive 14-1 since Torres joined the big league club. The Cubs traded Torres to get Alrodis Chapman and eventually he was one of the main cogs to help win the 2016 World Series title. It was worth the trade but note that Cubs fans will probably be watching Torres become a superstar in New York this season.
