CHICAGO – The Chicago Cubs today activated first baseman Anthony Rizzo off of the 10-day disabled list. Infielder/outfielder Efren Navarro has been optioned to Triple-A Iowa. Rizzo will be available for the Cubs tonight when they begin their series against the St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field.

Rizzo was placed on the disabled list with lower back tightness on April 10 (retroactive to April 6) and did not require a rehab stint as part of his return.

Navarro hit .167 (1-for-6) in four games with the Cubs and is batting .176 (3-for-17) in four games with Iowa this season.
