Jason Heyward pays $7 million for luxury condo in Chicago

It pays to be a gold-glove outfielder in the major leagues.

Chicago Cubs right fielder Jason Heyward bought a 5,200 square-foot condo on the Gold Coast tower for $6.93 million according to public records.

Heyward put down a down payment of $2.43 million for the home and has a $4.5 million mortgage according to legal documents. Reportedly, the purchase was the 11th-highest purchase price this year for a Chicago home.

For the season, Heyward has had a type of renaissance batting .284 with six homers and 39 RBI. He was so well thought of by the fans that he was fourth in the recent National League outfielder voting.
