Javy Baez named Cubs winner of Heart and Hustle Award

The MLB Players Alumni announced their Heart and Hustle Award for each team on Tuesday as second baseman Javier Baez was selected for the Chicago Cubs.

The award is voted on by former players and is for active players that show passion, desire, and work ethic demonstrated both on and off the field. This is the only award that is voted on by former players.

Baez is batting .293 with 19 homers, 19 stolen bases, and 74 RBI this season.

Last season, Kris Bryant was the Cubs winner for this award.
