Jon Lester has been dominant during the month of June.
On Monday, Lester was named the National League Pitch of the Month as he achieved a 5-0 record with a sparkling 1.13 ERA and 0.84 WHIP on 32 innings pitched. This is the fourth time that he has been picked for the NL honor (sixth overall). His 1.13 in the month of June was tops in the NL. For the season, Lester has an impressive 11-2 record with a 2.25 ERA with 1.15 WHIP during 17 starts. His teammate Javier Baez was also named National League Player of the Week. No surprise.
