The Chicago Cubs might get a huge boost soon with the return of starter Yu Darvish.

All signs were positive during Darvish's 50-pitch simulated game on Tuesday at Wrigley Field. Darvish will now head to a rehab start on Sunday according to Cubs manager Joe Maddon.

"I talked to him today, and he said he felt really good about pitching," Maddon said on Thursday via MLB.com. "He's good to go on Sunday. He just told me that."

Darvish will more than likely pitch at nearby Class-A South Bend at home for a few starts.

"Three (starts) would be the maximum, I would think," Maddon said. "I mean after three starts, you would think that he has it dialed in. You just evaluate each start."

He is 1-3 with a 4.95 ERA this season.
