The Chicago Cubs are defending World Champions and received their gaudy diamond title rings this week in a pre-game ceremony at Wrigley Field.

A reporter reminded Cubs catcher Miguel Montero on Friday that Pirates starting pitcher Gerrit Cole didn't think Cubs were the best team in baseball last season.

“I don’t really think they’re the best team in baseball, so it’s just one game at a time," Cole said to reporters last May.

Montero told the reporter the following drop-mic response. "I'll take my first at-bat with the ring."

A huge advantage goes to Montero is this round of trash-talking between the Cubs and Pirates.
