Cubs News: Pedro Strop's car stolen and involved in a police chase |
What a day for the Chicago Cubs and especially closer
Pedro Strop.
Before Thursday's game, Strop's car was stolen which sounds like a start to a movie. However, it happened. Strop was dealing with the police details until about the fourth inning according to ESPN when he told police that he had to go, "I might have to pitch. I have to go." He kept his composure with the work at hand, and he got the stressful one-run save in the Cubs 7-6 win over the Dodgers. Even after the game, Strop had to deal with the situation according to reports. Strop's car was later involved in a police chase that night. What a crazy story. Great job by Strop to not let the stress negativity impact his performance on the field.
