Cubs News: Rizzo hands $2 million check to Children's Hospital

by -

Anthony Rizzo is at it again.

On Tuesday, Rizzo visited the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago. Along with delivering Amazon gift cards, Rizzo visited with patients and their families, playing cars, listening to jokes and dancing with The Ellen Show sensation, Ava Blaser. To top it off, he donated $2 million to the Hope 44 programs. Rizzo started the "Hope 44 Endowed Fund" last year to help families dealing with cancer.

Rizzo is well known for his charitable work through his foundation, the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation. For the 2018 season, Rizzo has been working on the Home Run Challenge, donating money every time he hits a home run.
