Cubs News: Rizzo named to Forbes' 30 under 30 list

Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo has been celebrated around baseball with his tremendous charity work with his foundation as he won various humanitarian awards this offseason.

Add another one to the list as Rizzo was added to the Forbes' 30 under 30 list.

"Rizzo, who led the Chicago Cubs to their first World Series trophy in 108 years, is a three-time All-Star as well as a Golden Glove, Silver Slugger and Roberto Clemente award recipient," Forbes.com said. "He has endorsements with Buona Beef, Sony, State Farm and Body Armor."

In 2017, Rizzo hit .273 with 32 homers and 109 RBI. For his career, he is hitting .268 with 166 homers and 534 RBI.

Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve was the only other baseball player included on the Forbes' sports list.
