Two former Cubs pitchers eligible for Hall of Fame ballot

The Baseball Hall of Fame ballot has been announced on Monday and two former Cubs players were on the list for the first time with Kerry Wood and Carlos Zambrano.

Here is the full list of players that are eligible to be voted on for the first time in 2018 with Andruw Jones, Chipper Jones, Hideki Matsui, Jim Thome, Johan Santana, Omar Vizquel, Chris Carpenter, Johnny Damon, Liván Hernández, Orlando Hudson, Aubrey Huff, Jason Isringhausen, Carlos Lee, Brad Lidge, Kevin Millwood, Jamie Moyer, Scott Rolen, Kerry Wood and Carlos Zambrano.

Former Cubs slugger Sammy Sosa is also still on the ballot along with 13 others that were on past ballots including Roger Clemens, Curt Schilling, Trevor Hoffman, Billy Wagner, Fred McGriff, Barry Bonds, Manny Ramirez, Vladimir Guerrero, Jeff Kent, Edgar Martinez, Larry Walker, Mike Mussina, and Gary Sheffield.

Sosa received 8.6% percent of the votes last year and will stay on the ballot as long as he receives five percent or more.
