USA TODAY releases projection for Cubs 2020 season |
USA TODAY released their MLB projections for 2020 on Tuesday, and it's not pretty on the North Side.
The website had the Chicago Cubs with a fourth-place prediction in the National League Central with an 82-80 overall record. Who's got the over or the under on that number? The top three in the division were the Cards (88-74), Reds (85-77), and Brewers (84-78). The Pirates were picked last with a prediction of only 60 wins and 102 losses. "For a division that figures to be volatile, our six NL Central ballots came back surprisingly identical: Cardinals-Reds-Brewers-Cubs-Pirates," USA TODAY wrote. "Perhaps most jarring is the Cubs' impending irrelevance: They're pegged for a high of 83 wins and a low of 80. A moribund off-season after three years of gradual decay won't win many caucuses."
