by - Senior Writer -

CHICAGO — Showing no fear when making a spectacular catch against the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday, Chicago Cubs center fielder Albert Almora Jr. laid out to rob Brewers third baseman Mike Moustakas of a hit in the top of the sixth. Going completely airborne after racing to make the play, Almora showcased yet again why he is one of the best defensive outfielders in the game.

Completely parallel with the ground while making the grab, Almora collided with the turf on his descent but was able to hang onto the baseball. Fired up after pulling off the Gold Glove-caliber play, Almora incited the crowd with a mighty fist pump after popping up from the ground with the ball in his glove.
