WATCH: Almora runs into ivy while making unbelievable catch

by - Senior Writer -

CHICAGO — Albert Almora, Jr., continued to make his case for being the Chicago Cubs' everyday center fielder on Sunday night against the San Francisco Giants.

After starting off the game 3-4 at the plate with one RBI and two runs to his name, Almora, Jr., showed out on the defensive end, as well.

Making an unbelievable over-the-shoulder grab of a deep fly ball hit by Giants third baseman Evan Longoria in the top of the sixth, Almora, Jr., showed no fear as he barreled toward the brick wall in center field.

Flashing the leather with the amazing catch, Almora, Jr., was carried into the ivy by his momentum, producing yet another web gem in a season that has already featured an abundance of spectacular defensive plays from the Cubs' star outfielder.
