WATCH: Almora scales wall to rob home run |
ATLANTA — Chicago Cubs center fielder Albert Almora, Jr., continued to make the case for being an everyday starter for the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday night, pulling off perhaps the most spectacular catch of the young season.
Atlanta Braves catcher Tyler Flowers led off the bottom of the second with a bomb to deep center, but Almora, Jr., made a perfectly timed leap to rob Flowers of a solo shot. Flashing the leather, Almora, Jr., displayed his defensive prowess with a virtually effortless catch. It was so impressive, Flowers congratulated Almora, Jr., with a wink the next time that the Cubs outfielder stepped up to the plate. Add it to @albertalmora's reel. pic.twitter.com/SDTOOsfx2i
