ATLANTA — After entering the Chicago Cubs' contest with the Atlanta Braves midway through as an injury replacement, Cubs center fielder Albert Almora Jr. quickly made an impact on the defensive front.

Going all out for an inning-ending catch, Almora slid across the warning track in right-center field at SunTrust Park to snag a well-hit ball off the bat the Braves' Lucas Duda to rob Duda of extra bases and conclude the sixth frame.

Earning a salute from Chicago reliever Jesse Chavez, who appreciated the bail-out web gem, Almora exemplified why he could be well on his way to earning his first career Gold Glove.
