WATCH: Baez amazingly scores from first base on a single

by - Senior Editor -

Javy Baez just did one of his patented exciting plays to spearhead a Cubs 3-0 lead in the second inning against the Brewers.

'El Mago' scored from first base on a ground ball that barely rolled into centerfield. New Brewers center fielder Lorenzo Cain hesitated to throw it home and Baez took full advantage with an incredible slide to just beat the throw at home plate.

Baez went through the stop sign by third base coach Brian Butterfield and turned the play into something from a highlight reel of a little league play.
