WATCH: Baez crushes home run to straightaway center

DENVER — With his seventh home run of the season, Chicago Cubs second baseman Javier Baez took Colorado Rockies pitcher German Marquez to straightaway center field in the second inning of the Cubs' contest versus the Colorado Rockies on Sunday.

Crushing a Marquez curveball, Baez tallied his seventh home run of the season, giving the Cubs a commanding 4-0 lead in the process.

Baez has been on an absolute tear recently, hitting all seven of his aforementioned home runs in the last 13 days. Together with Albert Almora, Jr., Baez has proven to be a reliable hitter at the top of the batting order in this series, which could be pivotal for Chicago moving forward.
